Let me start by saying this loud enough for the back row YOU ARE NOT BEHIND. I donāt care what Instagram, TikTok, or your āI just bought another houseā cousin says. If you havenāt hit every single goal you set for yourself this year (or even last year), baby⦠breathe. You still have time.
Now, I know some of yāall looked at your vision boards recently and got mad like, āLord, did mine expire?ā š© But trust me, it didnāt. Life just has a funny way of stretching us before blessing us.
Being a grown woman means understanding that progress doesnāt always move in straight lines or follow your timeline. Sometimes God slows you down to show you who you really are, not just what you can do.
So before you start spiraling, comparing, or throwing your whole 2025 away, letās talk about some real-life strategies to keep reaching without losing your mind, your joy, or your edges.
š” 1. Revisit, Donāt Rewrite
Sometimes your goals just need a remix, not a replacement. Maybe you didnāt lose 30 pounds, but sis, did you drink more water? Walk more? Start saying ānoā to stress? Thatās progress too. Count those small wins because they too matter.
šļø 2. Make Your Calendar Your Accountability Partner
Set ādream appointmentsā with yourself. Block off an hour a week just for your goals; no kids, no work, no scrolling. Treat it like you would a hair appointment: show up on time, stay the whole time, and come out looking (and feeling) better than you went in.
šš¾ 3. Talk to God and Take Notes
Pray about it, yes. But also, write down what you hear. Sometimes clarity shows up in quiet moments or right after youāve finished fussing. Godās like, āNow that youāre done talking, can I tell you the plan?ā
šŖš¾ 4. Stay in Motion
Even if you have to crawl, keep moving. A slow walk still burns calories and a small step still counts as progress. Donāt confuse stillness with surrender because thereās a difference between resting and quitting.
š š¾ 5. Keep Your Eyes on Your Own Paper
Comparison is the thief of joy and sometimes the reason we keep quitting. Your timeline is not her timeline. Whatās for her came FedEx. Whatās for you is being hand-delivered. Be patient. (This was specifically for me lol)
ā¤ļø 6. Remember Who You Are
Youāve already survived worse. Youāve bounced back, prayed through, laughed when you couldāve cried, and still managed to show up. Thatās not luck, sis thatās grace.
So no, youāre not too old, too late, too tired, or too far behind. Youāre just in process. The key is to keep reaching and with intention, with faith, and with a little bit of humor along the way.
Because the truth is, youāre not waiting on time⦠timeās been waiting on you to move.
Now go on and finish strong, sis. You still got this. š«
āļø Bible Verse of the Week
āBeing confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.ā Philippians 1:6 (KJV)
š Affirmation
āI am not behind. I am in divine alignment. My goals still stand, and so do I.ā
